Program

D 1 : Arrival from 4 pm onwards on the first day and settling in.
If you have hired bicycles, delivery by the hirer at 7 pm.

Our favourite : your hosts welcome you with a glass of wine around the fireplace in the vaulted room. The bedrooms, opening on to the garden, give a taste of the secret charm of elegant 16th century homes: beams, pictures, period furniture…

D 2 : At Le Prieuré or cycling tour of 58 km.
The proposed itinerary takes you to Couture where you can visit the Manor house of La Possonière, where the poet Ronsard was born, and to the craft village of Poncé (potters, glass blowers, …). Then the route runs alongside the vineyards of Coteau des Jasnières and across the forest of Bercé, with oak trees several hundred years old.


D 3 : Today's route winds through apple orchards and leads you to Rotrou Mill, where you will meet Ginette, the former miller. In Le Lude, you can visit the château with its richly furnished rooms and its gardens alongside the Loir.(50 km)

D 4 : Day of relaxation at Château d'Oyré or cycling tour of 65 km.
Itinerary via Malicorne, where you can visit the famous pottery works, and via the historic village of Asnières-sur-Vègre. If you are in Solesmes at 5 pm, don't miss a visit to the abbey to attend sung mass with Gregorian chant!

D 5 : The itinerary goes through La Flèche, a charming small town on the banks of the Loir where you can visit the Prytanée National Military Academy, founded by Henry IV. And the zoo offers an exotic verdant setting. En route, you go across the Cré marshes and through the village of Les Rairies which has made its living, since the Middle Ages, from transforming clay. (45 km)

D 6 : Day of relaxation at Domaine de Bré or cycling tour of 65 km.
Today's route goes along the banks of the Loir and leads you to Angers, Town of Art and History, where you can see the magnificent Apocalypse tapestry in the château. You can then stroll through the narrow winding streets of the old town, in which several antique dealers have chosen to set up shop.

D 7 : Departure in taxi after breakfast, either to return to Dissay-sous-Courcillon or to the station in Angers or Château-du-Loir.
